Mark Hester
Mark Hester has been the Pastor since December 2016 and before that he was a frequent supply and choir member at this church for many years. Mark has a BA in Religion from Lambuth College (now a part of the University of Memphis) with higher education at the University of Tennessee and the Program of Alternate Studies of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church – administered by Memphis Theological Seminary (MTS), Southern Seminary and Asbury Theological Seminary.
Mark has served over 40 different churches as evangelist, pulpit supply, interim, teacher and pastor. Although he has primarily served as an interim, this is his 4th church he has served as Senior or Associate Pastor. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Bethel University and two terms on the Board of Stewardship, Foundation and Management and helped to establish the Financial Leadership for Religious Professionals at MTS. Mark has served the Church at-large as a Board member at the Presbyterial level in Finance, Missions, Theology and Social Concerns, the Synodic Tennessee Council of Higher Education and as a Commissioner to the General Assembly in Nashville, Dallas, Springfield and Huntsville.
Mark was a bi-vocational businessman and Registered Investment Advisor with certification as a financial planner through 2021 helping thousands over 40 years to manage money. Mark is a Tennessean since birth and got to Loudon as soon as he could. He married his high school girlfriend who is still his sweetheart. They live happily ever after in Farragut, TN.
