Beth Brakebill
Elizabeth Malloy Brakebill is a 7 generation Loudon Cumberland Presbyterian. She is descended from the Blair family who once ran the ferry across the Tennessee River just a few blocks from our sanctuary. Currently, Beth is serving as Music Director, Christian Education Director and Director of Pastoral Care. Beth has a Bachelor’s of Music Education from Maryville College, Master’s of Instructional Leadership and an Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Technological University, previously holding Administrative Licensure. She currently works part time for McGill Click Funerals and Cremations where she coordinates the Aftercare Services and is a Grief Facilitator. Beth has been active in youth activities in the Cumberland Presbyterian church since her father threw her in the Camp Chilhowee pool at the age of 6 months. Attending camp as a camper every year possible, she returned to serve as a counselor then director for Jr Camp, Jr High Camp and Sr High Camp, for over 10 years, often all three in the same summer. Growing up hearing her grandfather sing in the church choir instilled in her a love of music at an early age.
“I am honored to serve the congregation of Loudon Cumberland Presbyterian Church and hope that I can help every person to keep a song in their heart”.
